My Story
Brooke Hagler-Duffaut is a voice and piano teacher in the greater New Orleans area. Brooke starting singing and playing piano at an early age, participating in various piano and vocal competitions every year growing up. Brooke attended New Orleans Center for Creative Arts in high school, studying classical voice. She then studied undergrad at Loyola University New Orleans, receiving her Bachelor's of Vocal Music Education (Magna Cum Laude). She was also a member of Alpha Chi Omega. Brooke is currently enrolled in graduate school through the Voice Study Centre studying Vocal Pedagogy.
During the day, Brooke works as a Talented Music Teacher for St. Tammany Parish Public Schools. She has worked in the local area for 11 years teaching music. Brooke has worked as music director for various local school musical productions, summer program at Rivertown Theatres, and has performed in shows with the Jefferson Performing Arts Society and New Orleans Vocal Arts Chorale.
When she is not teaching, Mrs. Brooke enjoys spending time with her husband and three dogs (who also love to bark along to lessons). She is a member of National Association for Teachers of Singing. She also has a strong passion for elevating the lives of local youth via leadership programs. She is on the Board of Directors for ACTION Youth and Community Services, which advocates for creating youth leaders through a drug and alcohol-free lifestyle, and is on the School Advisory Committee for Sandy Hook SAVE Promise, which advocates for violence-free communities.
